When Maia first arrived in the garden of my parents' house, I still remember how Luna, our cat, was staring out of my bedroom window at this huge ball of fur walking on her territory. This first interaction between these two inspired me to write the first page of my webcomic Companion Size, where two characters of opposing characters, looks and sizes had to live together in a D&D-style world. Their bickering, their mischief, their behavior in everyday life… Every moment spent with the two of them was a new inspiration to write each page of this comic. Their story could have gone on for a very long time. Alas, last Thursday evening, Maia suffered from stomach dilatation, a condition that affects almost all dogs. My parents took her immediately to the vet, who treated her and kept her overnight for observation. The next morning, her stomach lurched again and the vet rushed her to the operation room. She suffered a heart attack on the operating table and passed away on the morning of
